Emily
Really pleased with what I ordered. It arrived a little earlier than I expected and was packed really securely. The finish looks lovely in person and feels much more expensive than it was. It fits perfectly with the rest of my room too.

The piece looks even better in person than it did online. It feels solid, well made and the finish is really nice. I was a bit unsure before ordering, but once it was in the room it completely pulled everything together. Very happy with it.

Meet Brassa, the mid-century milk glass pendant from Orasens, made for kitchen islands and dining tables. The milk white glass shade hides any direct view of the bulb, so the light arrives already softened rather than as a harsh point. Against that gentle diffusion, the brushed brass detailing picks up warmth and reflects it back, which is why Brassa feels warm and inviting even with a neutral bulb fitted.

Three profiles share the same glass and brass and differ only in proportion. A is wide and shallow at 30 cm across and 13 cm deep, keeping close to the ceiling so it does not block sightlines across an island. B is taller and narrower at 28 cm by 19 cm, reading more like a lantern, while C is the widest at 32 cm by 14 cm. All three stay visually light when hung in a row of two or three.

The black cable adjusts up to 150 cm to suit standard and raised ceilings, and both glass and brass hold their finish and wipe clean. It takes an E27 bulb up to 40W, not included, which leaves the light temperature to you, and it dims when paired with a dimmable bulb. It is a hardwired fitting, so we recommend installation by a qualified electrician.

        Frequently Asked Questions

It develops a warm patina with time, which most people prefer. If you want the original brightness back, a brass polish restores it in minutes.

Around 70 to 80 cm between centres suits a standard island, with the outer two set in from the ends rather than flush with them.

Aim for the bottom of the shade around 75 to 90 cm above the surface. That clears sightlines while keeping the light close to the work.
